Shortly after the discovery of the Buried Temple, strange relics and artefacts began circulating in the above-ground city. At the same time, many people began to have visions and develop mutations or strange powers.
Most of them were persecuted as dangerous abominations, but some were welcomed as saints because they were able to cure the sick or predict the future. Soon, orders of pilgrims flocked to witness the many miracles that occurred in the city. This unprecedented phenomenon also caught the eye of the Inquisition.
